Doctors at Mayo Clinic in Florida have presented a clinical patient case with Bibb Instruments' biopsy instrument EndoDrill GI at ESGE Days 2026, according to a press release.The case involved a 72-year-old patient with a pelvic tumor near the rectum where the biopsy, according to the company, provided abundant tissue material already at the first attempt and without reported complications.Bibb states that this, according to Mayo Clinic, is the first reported use of EndoDrill GI in the lower gastrointestinal tract.It is also emphasized that the instrument can improve diagnostic accuracy in endoscopic ultrasound-guided biopsies.
