The research company Cessatech has entered into a collaboration with the University Hospital in Copenhagen, Rigshospitalet, according to a press release.The collaboration concerns the development of CT004, an intravenous melatonin-based treatment for preventing and managing postoperative agitation and emergence delirium in children. A phase 2 study with 676 children at five Danish clinics has been initiated and is funded by Rigshospitalet. The parties will jointly develop the regulatory strategy and the further development plan for the candidate. Cessatech retains the global commercial rights to CT004.
