Industrial company NFO Drives reported lower revenue in the second quarter while operating loss decreased compared with the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue fell to SEK 3.8 million (5.5). Operating profit improved to SEK -0.8 million (-3.1). Profit after tax amounted to SEK -0.8 million (-2.9). CEO Johan Braun says that during the quarter the company launched an 11 kW frequency converter, which means that NFO Drives now offers a complete range of interference-free frequency converters for motors up to 18.5 kW. According to the CEO, this strengthens the company’s offering and competitiveness. The NFO Drives chief also highlights that production of units in the 11 kW and 18.5 kW power classes is now carried out in-house and that the new products have contributed to a higher and more stable gross margin. At the same time, the start of the year is described as weak, although customer response to the new products has been positive. The company provides no forecast.
