Windon Energy Group provides a status update on Ridgeblade and states that negotiations and due diligence related to a planned joint venture for the technology are progressing according to plan.The mechanical design of the Ridgeblade turbine has been completed after a rebuild to ensure quiet operation and eliminate vibrations. Tests show stable rotation in line with expectations, while ongoing work focuses on minimizing losses in power handling. Two technical solutions are being tested in parallel: a microinverter adapted for wind power, and a DC/DC solution where the electricity is fed directly to a battery. The results will form the basis for the choice of the continued technical direction. “Although Ridgeblade is in the testing phase and is currently not generating any revenue, the company has received inquiries regarding Ridgeblade and intends to be able to address these as soon as the technical path forward has been determined,” writes Windon Energy.
