Finwire about Beowulf Mining PLC: Beowulf completes drilling programme at Kallak

Exploration company Beowulf Mining has completed its supplementary drilling programme at the Kallak iron ore project in northern Sweden. A total of 1,072 metres were drilled across seven holes, and mineralisation was confirmed in all of them.Several drill holes were extended after mineralised intervals proved to be wider than expected. The aim is to infill the drilling and upgrade near-surface inferred mineral resources in the northern part of Kallak North to the measured and indicated categories.“The highest-priority supplementary drilling has now been completed with the aim of upgrading near-surface inferred mineral resources to the more reliable categories of measured and indicated mineral resources. Field observations, along with analyses using portable XRF and magnetic susceptibility, show that the drilling has encountered wide mineralised zones that largely correspond with the geological model. Several drill holes intersected mineralised intervals that were wider than expected at the planning stage, which led to the holes being extended. Geological, geotechnical and structural logging is nearing completion and, once financing has been completed, the samples will be sent for analysis at an independent laboratory. We look forward to being able to report the assay results and, further ahead, an updated mineral resource estimate,” says Ed Bowie, CEO of Beowulf.Geological, geotechnical and structural logging is nearing completion. Once the company’s financing of 4.3 million pounds has been completed, samples will be sent to an independent laboratory. The assay results will then be incorporated into an updated mineral resource estimate and later into the pre-feasibility study.
